Storybird

My class did a story on an app called StoryBird. You get to choose the picture you want for your story then you have to drag your picture and if you want to do half of the pages, a typing box will come up so you can type. If you want a full screen you have to use two fingers.

Here is my story.

Two Voice Poem

Well, my class studied an app called Garbage Band and we used it to record our 2-Voice poem. We worked with a partner. We both had to record our piece onto our own iPad. My partner was Leah. We had to practice taking turns and knowing our lines. It was fun.

The Visit to the Lagoon

On 4/20/16 I went to the San Elijo lagoon and there I saw a lot of lizards and one snake and I think that it was a a type of rattlesnake. And I saw two herons. It was like a new world. I thought it was a new world because it was just so amazing like when I saw fiddler crabs, they were so cool because they were shaped like hermit crabs but they only live in the ocean but I still thought that it was cool because lived in mud and they were camouflaged. We had to do something called field notes and field notes are something we’re you draw a picture of what you see and you do some writing of what you see to go with the picture that you drew. The visit to the lagoon was really fun!

Kelp Forest

In school I learned about kelp. Kelp is very interesting. Then I wrote a poem about kelp

Over the kelp forest it is a beautiful world. Birds swoop up fish for dinner. Pelicans are hunting for fish.

A girl shark keeps still to gobble up a tasty smaller fish.
In the kelp a blade has a gas inside that helps it float up to the surface to get sunlight to make sugar for energy!
